PCLA Spring Season

The calendar has turned to December, and this is the time of year that many parents are making decisions about spring sports. Our PCLA spring season will start games on Saturday, February 28th and continue through our Laxfest on Saturday, May 2nd. We also expect to participate in a PLL Sixes tournament against other youth lacrosse programs in North Carolina. Last year's PLL Sixes tournament with Troy Reh was a blast! We hope to grow that event in spring 2026.

Some PCLA registrations are already open, and we expect to have all of them open in the next week or two. The biggest thing that you can do to help us, is to register as soon as you decide to play with PCLA this spring. The sooner we get registrations the easier it is to put together the schedule. Keep in mind that the PCLA works based on your location. Please register in the program that serves your area. If you need help with this, please let me know.

USA Lacrosse is requiring age verification this year. That is a new requirement and will require a copy of a birth certificate while renewing your US Lacrosse Membership. We also have our PCLA Winter Programming. The Greensboro Park & Rec Program at the SportsPlex, 2400 Sixteenth St, Greensboro, NC 27405 has grown significantly over the past two years. This spring we are going to cover the rules for each division with coaches, parents, and officials before any games are played. We will be playing by USA Lacrosse NO EXCEPTIONS. USA Lacrosse Rules DO NOT PERMIT BODY CHECKING EXCEPT 7-8 GRADE BOYS. Stick checks are restricted for younger age groups. We will have stronger site management, especially for the younger age groups.
